LA BELLEZZA È TRA LE MANI DI CHI HA L’AUDACIA DI IMMAGINARLA E LA SFRONTATEZZA PER CREARLA
Utilizzo un materiale tanto semplice quanto prezioso: la carta è uno strumento narrativo. Su di essa si sono scritte e dipinte storie, mondi, epoche. E così faccio io: attraverso progettazione, scultura e colore, infondo alla carta una nuova identità.
Trasformazione e indeterminazione sono i concetti alla base di questi gioielli.
La metamorfosi di questo materiale avviene attraverso:
- l’immaginazione
- la progettazione
- la creazione artigianale.
Un processo creativo che porta nella realtà ciò che fino a poco prima era energia pura.
Un materiale piatto, sottile e delicato come la carta diventa un oggetto da indossare: materialmente scolpito attraverso l’artigianalità, prende vita. E partecipa della vita delle persone che andranno a possederlo: questa è prerogativa di tutti gli oggetti.
A completa evoluzione è difficile capire a colpo d’occhio di quale materiale siano fatte queste opere: da qui l’indeterminazione.

Ho sviluppato questa arte da autodidatta, lasciando che immaginazione e manualità potessero infondere vita alla carta. Trasformandola in un accessorio leggerissimo ma solido, tenace e resistente come le sue radici: il legno.
Il valore e l’unicità di questi gioielli risiedono nel processo intrinseco di trasformazione.
Nascono accessori rivestiti di una bellezza ricca e profonda che si è nutrita di ricerca e di senso.

L’essenza del processo alchemico risiede nella possibilità di trasformare qualcosa di grezzo in qualcosa di prezioso, attraverso esperienza, pratica e conoscenza.
La fisica quantistica rimanda alla relazione tra ciò che è e ciò che appare, e a quell’illusione di realtà che cerchiamo di cogliere e interpretare alla ricerca di un senso.

I use a simple and precious material: paper is a powerful narrative tool. Stories, worlds, ages have been painted and written on it. And so do I: shaping and painting a new paper identity through design and colour.
Transformation and indetermination are the two bases concepts of these jewels.
The metamorphosis of such a simple material happens through:
- imagination
- design
- handcrafting.
A creative process that makes real something that at first was just pure energy.
A flat, thin and delicate material turns into an object to be worn: shaped through handcrafting it gets alive. And it will belong to lives of people who will own it: eventually this is the aim of each object.
When metamorphosis is complete, it is hard to get in a glance which material these jewels are made of: this is the indetermination side.

I developed this art as an autodidact, letting immagination and crafting instill life into paper. Transforming it into a very light accessory still hard and resistant like its origins: the wood.
Value and unicity of these jewels are all in the transformation process.
And they are covered by true beauty: the one which has been nourished by research and meaning.

The essence of alchemical process is the chance to turn something raw into something precious, through experience, practice and knowledge.
Quantum physics is about the relationship between what is and what seems to be, and about the illusion of that reality we hard try to catch and to interpret in the hunting for a sense.
